FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MASSENA—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) on
Friday contributed $2,000 to Massena Memorial Hospital as part of the
hospital’s annual fundraising drive.
Allen Schriver, NYPA’s regional manager for
Northern New York, presented a check to Charles F. Fahd II, Massena
Memorial’s chief executive officer, at the hospital.
“On behalf of our employees at the St.
Lawrence-FDR Power Project, I am delighted to continue our tradition of
supporting Massena Memorial Hospital,” Schriver said. “As members of
the Massena community, we benefit from the vital services that the
hospital provides and we welcome this opportunity to express our
thanks.”
Fahd noted that “the Power Authority is a valued
contributor to our hospital and we appreciate its ongoing support.
Donors like NYPA make it possible for us to continually strengthen the
quality of our care and facilities.”
In addition to its annual contributions, the Power
Authority in 2003 donated $50,000 to Massena Memorial Hospital’s
building fund.
The hospital’s annual fundraising drive coincides
each year with National Hospital Week, which this year had the slogan “A
Calling to Care.”
