Edward Hubert Named to Lead NYPA Transmission Operations

RELEASE
Eugene W. Zeltmann, president and chief executive officer of the New
York Power Authority, has announced the appointment of Edward L. Hubert
of Sauquoit in Oneida County as senior vice president of
transmission for the Power Authority.
In his new position, Hubert is responsible for the
Power Authority’s Energy Control Center in Marcy, energy transactions
with the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO), maintenance of
NYPA’s transmission system, transmission and operations planning,
transmission services and interconnection agreements, and meter
engineering.
A Power Authority staff member since 1969, Hubert
started as an engineering aide at the St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt
Power Project in Massena. Throughout his tenure, he has assumed
increasing responsibility in transmission engineering, operations and
maintenance.
Hubert is a new member of the Research Advisory
Council of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), a member of the
Membership Committee of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC),
an alternate member of the New York State Reliability Council (NYSRC)
Executive Committee and an alternate member of the NYISO Transmission
Owner’s Committee
He is a corporate officer and a member of NYPA’s
Executive Management Committee.
A native of Massena, Hubert received a bachelor of
science in electrical engineering from the State University of New York
at Buffalo .
Hubert and his wife, Nancy, have two grown sons. |
