NEWS Schedule of May 31 - June 1 Events at NYPA’s B-G Visitors Center to Mark 1778 Battle of Cobleskill Contact May 20, 2003 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Saturday, May 31 9 a.m.-1 p.m.: Revolutionary War tactical exercise depicting the method of employing combat forces in that era. 10 a.m-4 p.m.: 18th century children’s toys, games and activities on display. 11 a.m.: Rituals and customs of a late 18th century ladies tea gathering spotlighted, showing that tea time in the colonies did not end with the Boston Tea Party. 1 p.m.: A demonstration of the limited surgical practices then used for war casualties 2 p.m.: A local citizens meeting, providing a look at the political discussions of that era. 4 p.m.: Reenactment of Battle of Cobleskill.
