NYPA Lowers Gates At Iroquois Dam

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MASSENA—The New York Power Authority announced today that the International St. Lawrence River Board of Control has required lowering of the gates at Iroquois Dam near Waddington because of increased water levels on Lake St. Lawrence.

The order was issued to the Power Authority and Ontario Power Generation. The lowered gates at Iroquois Dam will require boaters to use Iroquois Lock to pass the dam.  The gates will be lowered until further notice.
