Power Authority Distributes Donations To Fire And Rescue Departments

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MASSENA – The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will
begin the distribution of nearly $35,000 in annual donations to 38 emergency
service organizations and the American Red Cross in areas around the
St.
Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project here. Massena Memorial Hospital
received a donation in the Spring.
“The emergency services provided here in the North
Country help protect our staff, our families and our friends and neighbors,”
said Bob Hadler, NYPA’s Community Relations Manager for Northern New York.
“We are delighted that we can help support these vital services that are
always there when we need them.”
Hadler will present a check Saturday to the Massena
Volunteer Fire Department at its annual dinner marking National Fire
Prevention Month. Checks to the other recipients will be mailed.
In addition to the Red Cross, the Massena Memorial
Hospital and the Massena Fire Department, recipients of the donations
