FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WHITE PLAINS—The New York Power Authority announced Tuesday that it was
named to CMP Media’s InformationWeek 500, a prestigious listing of the
nation’s largest and most innovative users of information technology.
For 14 years, the InformationWeek 500 has tracked organizations' IT
agendas, providing a unique opportunity to understand and examine their
business practices across core areas of operations. Companies named to
this list demonstrate a pattern of technological, procedural and
organization innovation.
“We are always pleased when any part of our operation is recognized for
innovation and superior accomplishment,” said Louis P. Ciminelli, chairman
of the Power Authority. “This honor demonstrates that others recognize and
appreciate the great job our IT department is doing.”
The InformationWeek 500 is considered the most detailed source of
industry-specific IT budget data. The research project gathered in-depth
information directly from companies about how they approach and prioritize
their IT investments. The research identified the companies following an
extensive online and phone study.
