Provides Support For Statewide Volunteer Fireman's Competition

DEERFIELD—The New York Power Authority gave a big boost Wednesday to the annual state
tournament of the New York State Volunteer Firemen’s Parade and Drill Team
Captain’s Association. The event will be hosted by the Deerfield Fire
Department and will be held here Aug. 17 and 18.
Ed Hubert, the
Power Authority’s general manager of transmission maintenance, and Gerry
LaRose, director of power systems operations, joined forces to present a
$6,000 check in support of the tournament to Robert Tomaino, Deerfield Fire
Chief, and Angelo “Monk” Massago, general chairman of the competition.
