St. Lawrence-FDR Fireworks Celebrate Summer and 5 Millionth Visitor

MASSENAA spectacular fireworks display will mark the "Celebration of Summer" on Monday evening, July 23 at the New York Power Authoritys St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project. In addition, the pyrotechnics will mark an upcoming milestone at the Projects Visitor Centerthe visit by the 5 millionth visitor expected later this month.
The fireworks will begin at about 9:30 p.m. and guests will be welcome to bring lawn chairs and may picnic on the grounds prior to the fireworks display. They may also tour the Visitors Center, which will be open until 9 p.m.
The best viewing for the fireworks is on Barnhart Island, near the Robert Moses Power Dam.
The fireworks display will be produced by Telstar Display Fireworks of Liverpool, near Syracuse, and is presented free by the New York Power Authority.
The St. Lawrence-FDR Project and the Visitors Center are located off Route 37, just east of Massena. The Visitors Center is open year-round with some holiday closings.
