Frank S. McCullough, Jr.
Chairman

Frank S. McCullough, Jr. was elected chairman of
the New York Power Authority (NYPA) by his fellow trustees on April
28, 2006. Mr. McCullough has been a Power Authority trustee since
July 1997 and served as the Authority’s vice chairman from June 2002
until his election as chairman.
He is also chairman of the New York State Economic
Development Power Allocation Board, which reviews applications and
makes recommendations for allocations from certain power programs
administered by the Power Authority, and is a board member of the
Seaway Private Equity Corp., which provides Power Authority funding
to promote high-tech job development in St. Lawrence County.
Mr. McCullough, a prominent attorney and a resident
of the City of Rye, is senior partner in the law firm of McCullough,
Goldberger & Staudt, LLP, with offices in White Plains. He has
practiced law in Westchester County since 1968 and has been a
partner in his firm since 1972. His practice focuses on
administrative law in the land use and development field.
His numerous civic activities in Westchester County
have included service as a member of the Board of Trustees and the
Executive Committee of New York United Hospital, a division of New
York Hospital; the Pace University School of Law Board of Visitors;
the Board of Trustees of Greenwood Union Cemetery; and the Board of
Directors of Village Bank, which he also served as general counsel.
In addition, he has served as chairman of the Board
of Governors of the Westchester Golf Classic; president of the Board
of Trustees of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Westchester Division, the Rye
Historical Society and the Rye Lions Club; and a member of the Iona
College Advisory Board of Trustees. He has been a member of the
Board of Directors of the Foundation for Westchester Community
College since 1985, with service as the board’s president from 1987
to 1990 and as chairman from 1990 to 1993
Mr. McCullough is a 1965 graduate of St. Lawrence
University and received his law degree from Albany Law School of
Union University in 1968. He is a former confidential law secretary
to New York Supreme Court Justice Elbert T. Gallagher.
Mr. McCullough is married to the former Coralene
Fellows and they have three children and seven grandchildren. |
