Joseph M. Del Sindaco

Joseph M. Del Sindaco joined the Authority in May
2004, as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In April
2006, he was appointed by the Trustees to the position of Executive
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
In addition to being responsible for the
traditional accounting, finance and treasury areas, he is also
responsible for information technology, energy risk assessment,
energy resource management, financial planning, and physical asset
insurance-risk management.
Mr. Del Sindaco has over 30 years of experience in
both the public and private sector. As a government official, he
served as Chief Operating Officer of the Empire State Development
Corporation. Additionally, he served on NYPA’s Economic Development
Power Allocation Board, and also served as Town Supervisor of the
Town of Bedford, New York.
In the private sector, Mr. Del Sindaco spent over
13 years with the International Paper Company, holding several
management positions in accounting, treasury and general management.
His experience in public/private partnerships included the
development of environmentally sensitive energy projects utilizing
alternative fuels.
Mr. Del Sindaco joined the Authority from
Henningson, Durham and Richardson, where he was responsible for
programs which enabled local, county and state governments to
increase revenues, reduce costs and improve services.
Mr. Del Sindaco holds an MBA Degree in Management from the Executive
Program of the University of New Haven. |
