Jill Anderson is the Chief of Staff to the New York Power Authority’s (NYPA) President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Energy Policy. She oversees Executive Office management, Business Integration, Energy Policy, and Sustainability. Jill previously served as Director of Supply Acquisition & Renewable Energy for NYPA. She was responsible for power supply acquisition projects including land-based and offshore wind, biomass, solar, and other renewable sources.
Prior to joining NYPA, Jill was the Project Office Manager for Hess Corporation, and also worked for Consolidated Edison Company of New York (Con Edison). At Con Edison, she held positions of increasing responsibility in field operations and supervision in electric, gas, and steam distribution. Jill’s work in international benchmarking for Con Edison helped to launch the company’s Smart Grid program. Additionally, Jill has experience in power generation design and construction, working as a field engineer for Parsons Brinckerhoff in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jill is the President of the New York State Women in Communications and Energy (WICE, wiceny.org), an organization that performs community service and encourages its more than 700 members from across New York to network and collaborate in the energy and telecommunications professions.
Jill received a Master of Business Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University. She holds certifications in engineering, legal essentials, project management, and process improvement. She was selected as New York City & State Rising Stars, 40 under 40 class of 2012. She lives in Bronxville with her husband James.
