The Office of the Secretary provides administrative support to the Trustees, the Western New York Power Proceeds Allocation Board and the New York State Economic Development Power Allocation Board. In addition, the Office serves as a liaison between NYPA and the public. Among its many functions, the Secretary's Office maintains the Power Authority's official records and records of proceedings, initiates Authority rulemaking activities and arranges public hearings, meetings and forums. Other functions include affixing the Power Authority's seal as needed, delivering certificates under seal and handling requests for declaratory rulings.
