BUFFALO AND ERIE COUNTY GREENWAY STANDING COMMITTEE TO MEET MARCH 1 FOR PRESENTATIONS OF SUBMITTED PROJECT APPLICATIONS
BUFFALO—The next meeting of the Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Fund Standing Committee will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, 726 Exchange Street, Suite 525, Buffalo, NY 14210. The meeting is open to the public.
The meeting agenda includes a review of fifteen presentations by applicants that requested Greenway project funding in the current round of requests. Awards will be announced at the meeting on March 29.
The committee receives funds from New York Power Authority as part of the settlement agreement related to the 50-year federal license received by NYPA for the Niagara Power Project in 2007. During the term of the license, the Buffalo and Erie County Standing Committee will receive $2 million a year. It is composed of one representative from Erie County, the City of Buffalo, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and NYPA.
