NYPA Honors Employees for Exemplary Efforts during Tropical Storm Irene A

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) Board of Trustees and senior management, on Oct. 25, recognized six NYPA employees for their exemplary leadership and heroic efforts at NYPA’s Blenheim- Gilboa (B-G) and Vischer Ferry hydroelectric facilities in the Northern Catskills and the Capital Region in responding to the unprecedented high water levels last August from Tropical Storm Irene. Lynn Hait (center), NYPA regional manager-Central New York, presented the honorees—five B-G employees and one from NYPA’s administrative office in White Plains— with certificates of appreciation on behalf of the NYPA board and senior management. The honorees are:(from left) Chris Brown (Middleburgh); Steven Alberti (Windham); Brian Saez (Guilderland); David Weiman (Windham); Robert Knowlton (North Salem) and Ty Hinkley (Roxbury). The ceremony took place in White Plains at the regularly scheduled meeting of the NYPA trustees.
