Media Advisory and Photo Opportunity: New York Power Authority To Hold ‘Ride-And-Drive’ Event In White Plains To Showcase New Electric Vehicles For Governmental Customer Use

October 4, 2010

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will provide its governmental customers in Westchester County and New York City—municipalities, county and city agencies and others—with an opportunity Tuesday to see new electrified vehicle models being introduced by Ford Motor Co. and another manufacturer, Azure Dynamics Corp. The workshop and “ride-and-drive” event, at the Power Authority’s White Plains administrative office building, will include presentations by representatives of the two automobile companies on the new electric and hybrid-electric vehicle models, and by NYPA on its Electric Transportation Program.  The program has helped to advance the use of clean electric-drive vehicles by government fleets in New York State.
