NYPA to Host Halloween Event at Hawkins Point

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MASSENA—The New York Power Authority will play host
to a “Spooktacular” Halloween Party at the admission-free Frank S.
McCullough, Jr. Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch at the
St. Lawrence-Franklin D. Roosevelt Power Project on Saturday, Oct.
24.
Events will include pumpkin and face painting,
games, movies and goodie bags for all children in costume. The fun
is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m.
During the party, guests will also be able to view
the wide array of interactive exhibits at the visitors center on the
themes of water power and the St. Lawrence facility, basics of
electricity and uses of electricity. Children and adults will be
able to touch, see and listen to the many interactive exhibits while
enjoying the panoramic views of the NYPA power dam. The visitors
center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more
