FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTH BLENHEIM—Dress up in your spring finery for
free photos with the Easter Bunny at the New York Power Authority’s
Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center on Sunday, April 5, from noon to 2
p.m.
The event will also feature “Melvin the
Magnificent,” a balloon artist who will demonstrate how to make
various animals, hats and other configurations out of balloons, and
a raffle for Easter gifts.
Guests are also invited to enjoy the admission-free
visitors center’s attractions, which include hands-on exhibits for
students of all ages and abilities. Visitors can learn how this
pumped-storage power project acts like a giant battery, generating
hydroelectricity by recycling water between two huge reservoirs.
Other displays demonstrate the basics of electricity, energy
production and conservation.
The Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center is located on
Route 30, five miles north of Grand Gorge, 17 miles south of
Middleburgh and 50 miles southwest of Albany. School groups and
community organizations are welcome. For more information, visit
