Construction Veterans Return
Photo and Caption: Concrete is poured during the early
days of construction of the Lewiston Pump-Generating Plant in the
late 1950s. The plant is located one mile east of the Niagara Gorge
and is part of the Niagara Power Project in Lewiston.
Photo and Caption: Conduits take
shape in below-ground position in the late 1950s. They will direct
water four and a half miles from the Niagara River intakes to the
forebay of the Niagara Power Project in Lewiston.
