Capital Region Environthon Set for NYPA Visitors Center

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The New York Power Authority’s Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center will host this year's Capital Region Envirothon, Tuesday April 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Approximately 15 high school teams, representing Schoharie, Albany and Schenectady counties, will take part in the competition that tests students’ knowledge of aquatics, soil, forestry, wildlife, sustainability and alternative energy.

Schools must pre-register, but admission is free for spectators. There will be ample opportunity for photos.

WHAT:           Capital Region Envirothon

DATE:            Tuesday, April 30

TIME:             9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
