NORTH BLENHEIM—Santa Claus will be making an early appearance Saturday, Dec. 8, at the New York Power Authority's (NYPA) Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center to hear wish lists from local youngsters and pose for free photos from noon to 2 p.m. There will also be a special craft activity for children organized by representatives of Mine Kill State Park and wagon rides. Children will receive a special holiday ornament. This year’s holiday event will also be an occasion to mark an exciting B-G Visitors Center milestone—two million visitors welcomed since the admission-free visitor center first opened its doors in Schoharie County in 1974. The milestone, which was recorded this fall, will be celebrated with balloons and refreshments. A food drive is being held at the visitors center to benefit local food banks. Please remember to bring a non-perishable food item to donate. | ||
