For 200 years it has been an important point of commerce between the United States and Canada, offering such beautiful and exciting attractions as the "Seventh Wonder of the World"—Niagara Falls. The region boasts 75 lakes, including the Great Lakes of Erie and Ontario, and has a tremendous variety of sporting and recreational activities that take full advantage of all four seasons. The area is also endowed with a large array of cultural amenities, including world-class theater, music, dance and art museums.
